At San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory (SDYS), we offer every student musician at any level the opportunity to participate in one of our 13+ orchestras and wind ensembles.
Additional Information on Audition Dates and Requirements
Requirements for video auditions have not changed from our traditional audition requirements, but they will be clarified at the opening of the submission period. Students may upload audition videos between Friday, May 7 to Monday, June 7, when the June audition period closes. All registered students will receive an email at the close of registration with video submission details.
We will do our best to keep you informed with any additional pertinent information related to this year’s audition process. Students should be familiar with the audition expectations found in the 2021-2022 Audition Handbook which can be downloaded below.
Please call the SDYS office at 619.233.3232 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any further questions.
REVIEW THE AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Includes instructions, recommendations, requirements and more for ALL ensembles. Please download and review the audition requirements for all levels in the Auditions Handbook and select those that you are most confident in being able to demonstrate well for a particular level. Your private music teacher, if you have one, can also help you select the requirements that you should practice for your audition.
