San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory offers additional opportunities for students enrolled in our Conservatory Programs. These complimentary programs provide students with ways to immerse themselves in the musical experience and learn additional skills alongside the ensemble experience.
Concerto Competitions
Annual competitions for our Showcase and Ovation Students with winners performing as soloists with our orchestras.
Chamber Music
These ensembles allow students the opportunity to learn in small-groups and experience musical performances without a conductor.
Instrument Loans
SDYS has a large selection of instruments available for loan to our musicians.
Music Theory
Learn the basic building blocks of music by enrolling in the SDYS Music Theory Program.
Student Mentor Program
Share your musical abilities, teaching skills, and work with fellow musicians from the Conservatory or Community programs.
